2D AND 3D - ART AND GAME ART

This section is dedicated to miscellaneous 2D and 3D art.

Most of the 2D and 3D work I have done throughout the years is embedded into the levels, mods, and games I worked on. This page mainly highlights some of the stand-alone pieces of art I have produced, or those pieces that deserve extra attention.

This is almost only work from my 2000-2005 period and should not be considered too relevant anymore!

    The Ball Textures

    I have created over 300 textures for the game "The Ball", including normal and specular maps, and I also set up all the, sometimes very complex, materials for all of these..



    HourNature Texture Pack

    A free texture pack that contains 55 tiling high resolution terrain textures, such as sands and rocks. The pack is free for non-commercial use. Photosourced, and I took all the photos myself.

    HourKraden Texture Pack

    A free texture pack. It contains more than 70 1024x1024 and 512x512 textures. The UT and UT2004 versions are completely set up including shaders, footstepsounds, detailtextures, correct compression levels, and so on.

    Half of the textures were photosourced. All photos used I took myself. The other half were drawn and/or modeled from scratch..

    HourPitores Texture Pack

    A free texture pack. It contains more than 80 1024x1024 textures. The UT, UT2004 and HL2 versions are completely set up including shaders, footstepsounds, detailtextures, correct compression levels, and so on.

    The Chronicles Of Spellborn Skyboxes

    Skyboxes for The Chronicles Of Spellborn. I designed and created all of the skies of this MMORPG. Some exceptions aside, all worlds were set in gigantic caverns, so the skyboxes had to deliver the impression that the world was located in these caverns. On top of that the caverns had to fit the cartoony and drawn style of of the game.

    Most of these skyboxes were renders of high poly 3DSMax models that were greatly modified in Photoshop, and had a lot of effects from the game engine(particles, animated materials) applied.

    Futuristic corridor modeled in 6 days in 3DSMax, for fun.



    Kitchen

    Semi realistic kitchen, modeled in 3DSMax in two weeks. Own concept and design. For fun.



    Depressive Room

    A depressive room. Modeled and rendered in 3DSMax, in five days time. For fun.



    Sci-fi Corridor

    Sci-fi room and corridor. Five days of work. Modeled in Maya. For fun.



    Urban Game Level

    Urban game level for the game Shellshock Nam 67, modeled in Maya.



    Insane Tank

    An over the top tank, modeled in Maya using an own concept. Five days work. Just for fun.
